Anyone from Chicago had there car done in ls1speed in Schaumburg? I am planning to get my gears installed but I am uncertain of the quality service that they do.
I have 3 options...
Street Stuff
E&R Racing
Ls1SPeed
Any opinions

Hmm i know people who used to work for all 3.
When i told a buddy who worked at E&R 2 years ago i was taking my care there he told me not to, said they dont take care of em and overcharge you. My buddy who works at street stuff ripped on speed LS1speed all the time and I've heard very mixed stories about that place. I've bought parts at street stuff but im not sure I would trust them to work on my car. R&R did the machining on my shortblock. went a little over budget but they did a great job, hope that helps.... If i HAD to chose I think I'd choose LS-1speed.

i am from the chicagoland area and have bought stuff from them b4...i have been to their shop a couple times in shamburg..they seem very knowledgable but the guys there think that they are gods gift to the fbody. Although they seem very experienced and have some badass cars there and i mean BADASS...i feel like they all have an attitude problem...when i went there i wanted to ask the guy to step outside....other than that i would trust their work...they specialize in our cars...if i go to 3:73's im going to have them install them....but im not leaving the shop b/c i feel like they would beat the **** out of my car if i left and they finished the job for a test drive...i could just be venting though from the last time i was there to pick up header gaskets and bolts though...got quoted 450$ for the GM motive gears, the kit, the install, and the lube
Well my buddy has a 99z28 and he went out there to get his twin turbo setup done at CAS but he went to speed inc to get his heads and cam and some other stuff done and he has nothing but good things to say about them.....i order all my stuff from them.

Ive ONLY took my car to Speed Inc. I have been going to them when they werent as popular as they are now. I buy parts form them anhd i also get a lot installed there.
They will go out of their way to take care of you. As for gears, they will get them installed just fine and at a comparable if not better rate then most shops.
LIke most above.. I have bought thousand's of dollar's worth of stuff through them.. Great Cust. Service.. Larry has been nothing short of amazing as far as our car's go and his knowledge.. IN my exp. they never pushed any product's on me and usually led me to the more cost effective method's rather than the more expensive route i somtimes like to go down.. As far as their work.. Jim (intimd8) on here i believe his car is a basic idea on what standards to expect out of their tech's. I doubt they would take your car out and beat on it.. This ain't pep boy's.. And a set of 3.73's ain't much compared to that 800+RWHP Twin Turbo LT1 he has.. I'm saying Speed Inc is the way to go.. but either of them could give you great service and work as well..
