Dont Buy From.....

www.LS1speed.com!!!! I am so pissed. A month ago my fuel pump went out so i thought i was get a welbro 255. So i get rush delievery through ls1speed.com because my car is my daily driver. I get it and it says mustang all over it. I say what the hell a pump is a pump. Put it in it will rev up but it idled at like 300 rpm then it would die. So i told them that they sent me the wrong pump and they said that would credit my credit card b/c i had to go out and buy a stock one b/c i had to have my car running. Well i get the state ment and they only credited 111.10 out of 161.10. They say that they charge a 20% restocking fee. They will not give it back. I was already pissed that they wouldnt give me shipping back but i expected that. So save yourself some time and money and buy elsewhere!!!!!

If you ordered the correct part and they shipped you the wrong part, they should not charge you for shipping or restocking. You could dispute the charges w/ your CC company.

I agree - however, I wonder if things may have been different had you decided NOT to install the unit. Since it was installed and operated, I can see that maybe they have some procedure for cleaning, etc. As for shipping, well...nobody ever wants to pay for that - but in this scenario, I can see them paying for shipping, but still charging you a restock fee. Personally, if I had a pump that said Mustang all over it, I wouldn't even touch it, let alone try to operate it. Did you try to match part numbers first or make any calls to see what you oredered, etc?

According to the link above, they only sell one in-tank Walbro pump....

Also, you say they aren't refunding approx. $50...the rush shipping accounts for close to $40, and 20% restocking of the $130 pump is not the $10 difference.... These numbers aren't adding up. Where in MO are you?

Re: Dont Buy From.....

Well you used it, so a restocking fee sounds in order.

Figure it a lesson in life...and move on.

If your sent the wrong part send it back...don't install it... because it's the wrong part so why would it work.

I want to charge you a 20% waste of time fee... just for looking at this post.

Re: Dont Buy From.....

the only reason i instaled it is because when i got it i called them and they told me to instal it b/c they said it is the same pump and that it would work.

Re: Dont Buy From.....

They pulled the same exact crap with me. I ordered a TQ arm mount and they sent a tranny mount. Tried to charge me a restocking fee and said it was my error. Its BS.

I will never deal with them again.

I ordered a few parts from them a while back, and they price matched their competitors and sent the correct parts out quickly. I was very happy with their service.

If that's true, then that's messed up.

Something smells fishy here, and I don't think the odor is coming from Speeds end.

Re: Dont Buy From.....

From my experience I haven't had a problem with LS-1 speed... I do remember missing a piece to a part I had ordered.. then they next day aired it to me for free... thier reliable. But now it's usually Speed Engineering or Summit for me.
