so it runs perfect at all speeds and areas beside this one spot?

You going up hill or downhill? do you have the cruise on?

if it runs fine everywhere else don't worry about it

No idea....I'm gonna go out the back entrance tomorrow. It seems like it only does it in open loop in that one spot, but not in closed loop? We'll see tomorrow...eventually I'm probably just going to have to buy a scan tool.

What is the quality on your pacesetter longtubes, and what did else did you have to do for proper fitment?

Awesome welds, awesome coating, very heavy duty, great quality. All I had to do was bend an A/C line on the passenger side. PM me if you have any more questions,
-Matt

my car did the same thing a year or two ago...

when the car went into closed loop my o2s were not reading right and causeing my car to missfire.

perhaps the location in you are getting to when your troubles arise just happens to be the distance required for you engine to heat up into closed loop.

Ok the car has been sitting for 7 hours. I took it out the back entrance, went down about 3 miles, came back, went through to the front entrance, and came back home, and the car was acting perfectly normal.....

Are you in a gated community? Do the gates have some kind of an electrical signal that is activated when leaving?

Yea I think its something related to engine temp, not the actual location, go drive around somehwere else and let it warm up, see what happens. If its OK then maybe it is electircal interference or something. My Dad's diesel turns about half of the street lights off around my neighborhood, even at like 2 AM so its definatly the truck, so I mean im not saying its likely, but it is a possibility.

I took it out the back entrance today, went all the way down about 5-7 miles, came back home through the front entrance, and the car drove fine the whole time

This is definitely weird!

Strange ... Here's a TTT for ya ... |

Check for a vacuum leak. The bolts on the manifold, make sure theyre tight. Spray some starter fluid around the entire intake tract. If its leaking, the RPM's will go up.

You could use soapy water too i guess

Possibly a plugged up PCV or bad EGR valve( Leakin )

Check the preussure at the fuel rails too while your at it, it only takes a minute once you have the guage.

Key on, engine NOT running, you should have between 41 and 47 PSI at the fuel rails btw.

Check that jsut to make sure

I do think its a vacuum leak though.

i would be willing to bet its your opti. same thing happened to me, the stumble was so bad and predictable at most times when it was going bad. then again there were times when it was cleared up and not noticeable. from what i have gathered, its more of an engine temp type of thing, so its more or less the length of time you were driving, which would also be the same if you take the same way to school everyday.
example---takes you 5 mins to reach you operating temp. well if you take the same road to school everyday, and the opti acts up right when you reach operating temp, then yeah you will experience that stumble in the same area/road.

definitely get it checked out, its easy to think it went away, but when it comes back it will really come back.

then again i could be totally wrong, anything along the lines of a fuel pump could be faulty as well...let us know

The car ran awesome today.....
I'm guessing it's the opti. The PCV valve is good and EGR wouldn't apply to this situation since it's an on and off thing.

It's gotta be something electrical.

Car did it again today on the way to school, went out the back gate this time. It wouldn't accelerate.....I had the gas pedal down at about 40%, and the car wouldn't "wake up" until I gave it about 3/4 throttle, then the RPM's jumped and it was fine after that......WTF!?!?
