WTF is up with this??

WTF is up with this??

Ok..my friend ahs a 95 z28 with all the bolt-on's...so we decided the next thing on the list would be a converter..so we slid in a coan 3000 stall...now the car is slow as dog ball's....1st gear is awesome..but 2nd,3rd,and 4th are just dog's...and the check engine light comes on about halfway through the gear and it just bog's down REALLY bad like it's pulling timing or something??..also it shift's at like 4100 rpm..what the hell could this be?..i tried hooking up my scanner..but since it's OBD-1 mine wont work..but it has the OBD-2 ALDL connector..so i guess we are screwed on that lol...could this be tourqe managment?any help would be greatly apreaciated..oh and the ABS light comes on and stays on as well..dont know if that is a related problem though..Later,

When you guys put the converter in did you make sure it clicked all the way in.(I think 3 clicks)Its alittle tricky.95 has obd2 connector but its obd1.You have the right amount of fluid in I assume.

Yeah bro 3 click's of course...yep full fluid..dont know what the hell else to do?

You gotta pull the codes. Find a firend at a dealer with the Tech 2 machine or whatever they are called...

The ASR isn't holding it back, is it? I don't know a lot about that system, but maybe it is retarding everything...
