Well friday I put my LT4 KM in. I guess I'm a believer now and my car pulls hard like it should with my LTs on unlike before. Anyway I of course unplugged the battery's negative cable and did the KM. I didnt notice initially but today while driving my car, theres no SES. The light isnt out because it comes on with the rest of the gauge lights while the key is turned into the Acc. position. i dont have a problem with it being gone if its legit but does anyone know whats up?

 

When you reset the computer by pulling the power it will also clear any DTCs you had. If there is a problem then you will throw a code again.

 

Well.... not sure I follow the question. Adding an LT4KM will not set an SES, if that's what you are asking. Or are you saying you had an SES light before you installed the LT4KM, but its gone now that you installed the LT4KM?

 

What code were you setting before?

And yes....when you unplugged the PCM, the DTCs were cleared.

 

I had the light before and now its gone and I'm stumped as to why that would be. Everything was normal and I was setting codes for removing EGR, AIR and the cats but now after the codes were cleared they havent returned yet.

Still not on. Kind of strange....maybe the PCM knows all my emissions equipment is gone and is cool about it now lol. Looks like I might get away with saving myself money on programming that stuff out.
