WTF!!! Fel-Pro oil pan gasket Is retarded and im pissed off *PICS*

Im building a motor, and trying to not only make it run good and fast, but also be clean and look good. No oil leaks and lots of powder coating

Well i went to put on the oil pan gasket today. i put a lil RTV along the sides and a good amount on the arches on the front and back
Set the gasket on the and evenly and slowly torque them all down to spec.

I stand back to look at my work and WTF:

and

The front of the pan gasket just popped out. So i took it off added a lil RTV again and put it back on..Same thing!!
Tried this about 3 more time with brother trying to hold it, a string around it still keeps popping back.

Now i got RTV everywhere, its dried too, and im sure it will leak now even if i get it right

What should i do??? anyone else have this problem???
so pissed off

I went through that when I did my cam, The damn gasket kept bulging towards the outside. My timing cover was off so I hooked it on the lip of the oil pan gasket, then slid the timing cover onto the dowels. The gasket was buldging at this point and I pushed it in the best I could with my finger then tigtened up the oil pan and had to push hard with my fingers to get it to pop into place. It probably took me near 2hrs to get it to sit right.

And I also had Super Copper EVERYWHERE, including all on my hands. If it leaks, its just gonna leak cause Im not fixing it again until it really gets on my nerves.

If your trying to get it to stay use some 3M weatherstrip adhesive to hold the gasket in place, wait till it dries "which only takes 10-15 minutes or so"then use a LITTLE bit of RTV in the corners..no need to use it on the whole gasket..It just causes the gasket to slide around till it dries..

If you're really having trouble try the O.E. gasket. Funny, my Fel-Pro pan gasket didn't look like that one. Maybe there are two different ones. Where did you get it? Because I did mine twice and got it from two different sources, Orielly and Summit. Maybe there is a better one than the one you got, because I never had problems with any of the two. Even the one I did under the car!
