Had a puffing sound. Sounded like it was misfiring. Came AFTER I installed an DS to AC converter.

I changed the plugs and opti.

Still the same.

Oh, it sounds like it is misfiring. Gets worse as it gets warmer. I have just changed the opti and plugs. NOT the wires, so I`ll get those next. One guy on Fuelslut thinks it might be the EGR valve.....

I got that sound when My Optical spark wasn't installed on the dowel pin correctly.

 

well i used a company called extreme engineering and they had done this more than once so i dont think thats it.

 

To be honest with you only thing left to do is back track. Recheck your work...make sure the plugs are in tight and the wires are routed correctly... if they are then check the opti again. If those are the only items you touched than those would be the first places to look. I wouldn't bother with EGR and unrealted criteria till I was double sure everything is correct.

 

Yea? The thing is the misfiring occured after an electrical hook up...
