Would like your experince with the following engine ideas

I was thinking about some things. I have LT4 hotcam, SLP headers, bolt ons Dynno'ed 330 rwhp and 336 rwtq.

First. The SLP headers are 1 3/4 short tubes. I think with a mild 350 like I have that longtube 1 5/8 would give me a big torque boost and still allow it to breath. I think the shorties are not scavanging anything below 6k if at all.

Second. Put solid rollers on my hydraulic cam. Should rev a little easier and since the LT4 hotcam is not that aggressive, it should survive. Or am I on drugs to be thinking this. Just an idea.

Third. Is it possible or advisable to route wires under headers instead of over the valve covers?

Fourth. My banjo bolts on the back of the heads leak a little. I think I can use "bolt outs" to remove and replace them. And if I ever pull my heads I was thinking about using braided lines and fittings instead of the banjo bolts and hard line.

Fifth. I like the 10 spoke wheels. I heard a rumor the someone was looking into making them in 17 x 11's to mount 315's. Any truth to this?

Thanks for any info

1. good idea

2. the advantage of solid roller is that you dont have valve float at high rpms and you can run agressive cam profiles. since your keeping the same cam and not revving above 6400- both advantages are negated

3. over the top valve cover kit

4.i dunno

5.no clue. not big on the bling.

I have run wires over the top and under the headers. Didnt have a problem either way.
