Would Iac counts being 70 at idle hurt track times?
Re: Would Iac counts being 70 at idle hurt track times?
High idle counts themselves won't hurt (unless you are idling your car through the quarter mile
), but there could be an underlying condition that could be affecting your idle and also performance at non-idle. Possibly a rich condition.

well be happy yours are at 70.. Mines maxed at 160. It wants to die sometimes at idle especially when coming down from revs... Not sure if the IAC.. The IAC may be clogged cuz i was sucking in oil when my engine blew.. I'll try adjusting the idler screw too.. U guys have a link to a page showing a IAC removal and cleaning.. Any gaskets or things i need to watch for.. do's and dont's? Your stock O2's can give u an idea of rich or lean.. see where they are at.
