This PCM below is advertised on E-Bay as reconditioned, with tuning to the buyers specfications. Seems cheap enough, compared to a tune shop, & you walk away with a PCM, with a years warrantee. If I remember correctly, any used PCM that you buy, has to be taken back to GM for recalibration. Would a tune shop be a better way to go to squeeze out the most HP for my LT1, considering all the costs involved?

Even a stocker will benefit some from tuning. Most go through Mail Order tune with one of the guys here on this site. I would not trust buying a PCM off E-bay.

An unmodified OBD11 PCM is going to be the same in stock configuration and does not have to go anywhere----just plug and play. I bought a cheapie off this site many moons ago and sent it in for a mail order tune---kept my stocker just as a back up.JMHO
