Worth keeping Hypertech PP?

I've got a Power Programmer for my 94 Z28, the car is supercharged with just about every bolt on and has been tuned on the dyno so the hypertech program was obviously removed. The only thing it does right now is turn my fans on earlier. I had a friend offer to buy it from me and my question is do you guys think it's worth keeping? The only reason i can see keeping it is that i may change gears or wheel size in the future. He offered $150, what would you guys do? thanks in advance

I'd sell it in a second! If you want to get into real tuning in the future, just buy Tunercat. You'll be very happy you did. Heck you could buy Tunercat, a definition file and a cable, for the price of the HPP.

That's a tough question. You mentioned several reason to keep. Another reason to keep it is if you buy the Hypertech diagnostic module that turns the unit into a fairly decent portable scanner. I've done that and I keep the unit in my car and use it to check things all the time.

AN important question is if you have local access to a ECM/PCM tuner that can make what ever future changes that you need. If you do I'd lean toward selling it. Then you could make $150 toward some other newer diagnostic scanner/data logger, and help you bud out at the same time.

Well i definitely don't need it as a scanner tool cause of the scanmaster i have. I am interested in knowing more about the Tunercat though. Can you or anyone else give me some information on how it works and it's ease of using. Thanks ...
