Is it worth converting to a 6 speed from an auto ?

I bought my 94 25th anniversary TA with an automatic because I couldnt find one in the rare 6 speed. I am just curious if it is worth trying to find the parts needed to convert and have someone do the labor or should I just settle for the automatic.
ANy opinions on the subject would be appreciated, along with where to get the parts and overall cost.
Thanks

hmm

Find a buddy with a 6-speed and drive it. I used to have an automatic car, and the 6-speed is . Personal opinion though

I'd say leave it and if you don't like it much put a shift kit in and a stal.

NO. Trade in your A4 with an M6 and save the trouble.

the swap wouldn't be TOO hard, find a lt1 6 speed car and drive it, if you like it go for it. There is lots of help on this board.

I love my 6 speed

Birdman7389 is right. Another friend of mine just did the swap from A4 to M6 and loves it. I prefer my auto. So, drive one and decide. It's not that big of a job, just time consuming like everything else with F-bodies.

Hahahahahaha....I love when I hear this "save the trouble" garbage..."sell your car" bwahahahahahaha.

It's $1500 and there's plenty of write-ups on how to do it. "Save yourself the trouble" of trying to trade in a car that has negative equity in it and just buy the kit, find some buddy's and do the swap.

I've done it... I HAD a shift kit and 2800 stall in my Z before I did it. I'd NEVER go back!

M6 and twindisk all the way.

I did the swap and it was worth every penny. It is not hard at all just a little time consuming your first time.

I'm pretty well into my swap, and haven't found anything really difficult yet, but I have found it to be rather expensive if you want to put the "good stuff" in. Rebuilt tranny, Ripper shifter, stage 2 clutch, bit and pieces and I'm getting darn near 2500$

with 2.73's does it bog off the line?

i know many people put 4.10's in the 6 speed...

but what all must be done to get the dash to work right?

and im not sure what the scag or whatever its called where it doesnt let u shift right, but if i did a swap im pretty sure i wouldnt want that in there... so what must be done to remove that?

Skip shift is a easy $15 fix. As far as gears you can just get them programed in, pcmforless or a hypertech programmer can do it. You can do it with LT1 edit and the other programs.
