worse idle after tps change

Got in thr car this morning ses light and somewhat bad idle till I got going. Scanned code, is was the tps sensor, changed it, now wont even stay running without me giving it gas. Do you have to reset the throttle position when you change the tps sensor? Any ideas? Oh, by the way, same thing happens now when I put the old one in also.

Well, after checking it out for a little bit, I disconnected my MAF sensor. Seems that it decided to die with the TPS sensor. PEace be with you both, the TPS and MAF can both rest in peace now.
