Wiring help?
I have a 97 Z28. I got a second foglight switch to use as an on/off switch (probably for my drls) but I'm running into some problems.
1) The plug that goes into the existing "button that does nothing" doesnt fit into the switch
-I want the switch to be independent of the fogs, so it can be on/off whether the fogs are on or off (but the switches can have the same source and ground if that's safe to do).
2) There are 5 pins on the foglight switch. Your average on/off rocker switch has 3- lead, ground, and aux. I don't know which pin does what.
- Someone has suggested that I get another foglight plug off an old car to plug into the switch. If I do this, which wires will I use and which wires will be left alone?
A wiring diagram would be nice of what wires are what, or alternative suggestions on how to rig this up. Thanks,
Jay
