Does anyone know where I find the wiring diagram for the factory 96 z bose stereo system? I can't get any sound out of it after installing a new cd player.

Sorry for putting this in LT1 Tech but I can't go any longer w/o sound.

I don't think they work unless you have the factory head unit or a specified replacement. The speakers suplly thier own power and only recieve an information signal.

 

I have a 1995 diagram. Might help.

On a 1996, the I/P dimmer fuse is #16 and instead of the courtesy fuse, the power/accy fuse 7 is used. That's about the only difference.

Yeah, I think you need an adapter to change the head unit.
