Wires for SLP Shorty Headers

Can anyone confirm MSD Super Conductor # 32149 wire set will work on my 94 Z, with SLP shorty headers?
If not, is there another/better recommendation?
#5 runner is right on top of the plug and wiped out the MSD “OEM” wire/boot on same plug.
I’m also curious if the Super Conductors have good heat resistance.

Also, I’m going back with AC Delco 41-906 (oem?).
my car is tuned, with bolt ons.

Thanks,
Chris

I bought those when I was young. My opinion is that the 8.8 was thick and hard to route, and offered me no additional benefit. The only wires I ever burnt was multiple sets of the MSD 8.8.

I switched over to a set of blue streak wires that were more flexible and have never been burnt and function very well. I have run these with Mac Mids, BBK mids, and now design speed engineering long tubes. With the BBKs, I had some running over valve covers, and some under the headers. With the long tubes, I am able to route them all under the headers, just strapped to the engine. I have never burnt one of these wires, whereas the MSD always seem to burn on the plug boot and crumble, which to me is unavoidable because you cannot route the spark plugs away.

To me the MSD wires are inferior to even a stock plug wire, so I personally would not recommend them.

Thanks. As I have apparently been living under a rock, I just found out about shorty spark plugs. I just bought a set of Accel Double Platinum. They are only available in heat range 6, so I’m hoping they will be OK.
On yours and others advice, I skipped the $200 MSD’s
(burned #5 was an MSD “OEM).
I bought some 8mm Summit private label - just hope I can get that #5 properly routed.
