hey just a quick question..ive had two z28's and they both have the windows getting scratched...whats an easy way to fix it...it annoys me sooo much...on one of the camaros i took these two felt material guides out that were riveted in to the door...but i couldnt put nething else there in its place...what could i do?? thanks...i know its a problem in most camaros and trans ams...thanks

 

I had that problem......fugged up my tints on the driver side pretty bad
Those little gold mounting things that are riveted into the door, one of them broke in half and I found it inside the door when changing my window motor.....the part with the felt end broke off and the bare sharp metal was scratching my window, so I took them off, brought it to the dealer, got new ones, and put them on. Now all is good!

was it scratching the inside of the window?? mines scratching the outside...how much did the dealer charge you?? thanks for you help man

mine are scratching on the outside as well, but its not even noticeable, only if you see it at the right angle so I never bothered fixing it.....but the ones for the inside were only a few bucks a piece....it wasn't much but i don't remember the exact amount.

 

if it is the outside it is probably the weatherstripping. I think it is about 50 bucks a side at your local dealer. It puts scratches on your window in several vertical scratches a few inches apart from eachother on the back half of the window.
