Window motor help
I am new here and have read and printed the wonderful instructions for replacing the window motor...
I have the door dismantled, mirror set up w/light and so forth..
the problem is the old motor is held in with 3 screws(it's been replaced once by the dealer 3 years ago). For the life of me I can not turn those screws!! Very small space to negotiate...could the dealer actually have machine tightened those 3 flathead screws?
This looked pretty do-able and I hate for 3 screws to hold me up!!

3 screw bolts..
There are nuts holding the screws in. Reach behind and feel for them and stick a socket on them while turning the screw driver.
If u already did this and the screw threads are stripped then take a drill and drill the top of the screw heads off and pop them out.

Ok..I felt the teeny tiny bolts. There is no way I have any tool that would fit in that tiny space to negotiate holding the bolt AND turning the the screwdriver AND reaching through the speaker hole and the top access hole AND getting any leverage to accomplish any of this.
I think I've given up and I'll take the shop's $500.00 estimate to replace BOTH motors.
Interesting tho, both windows closed after I put everything back together !
Sheesh, I wish I was closer to Tampa for the $35.00 replacement!

Yeah I should start up a shop and charge 250 bucks a pop... to bad I have a conscious.
Drill through the fiber glass door closest to where the screws are. If your off alittle, no biggy just drill away until you can reach those screws with a screw driver.
If your window is down right now then you wont beable to get your hand behind were the bolt is to put a socket on it.
So what you'll have to do is drill out the screw heads and pop them out (small screw driver and hammer if u dont have a punch).
Becareful if your window id down while your drilling.
Only 1 hand should go through the speaker hole or the upper hole while the other hand stays on the outside of the door turning the screw driver....
Sometimes the window motor will cut in and out before it fully dies. use some dielectric grease on your rubber t top insulation to prolong the life of the motor.
