Windage tray with ARP Main Studs

What windage tray you guys using with the ARP main studs? There are too many studs sticking up for the stock one to fit. and some holes dont line up.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

If memory serves me correctly, you need to use the solid windage tray. You can get it from any GM parts house.... Jim Pace, Sallee and so on.
Check out page 3 of this .pdf file, http://www.s-series.org/htm/tech/GMP...ts/082-086.pdf

That flat windage tray shown there... nothing too eciting about it... is the one you need.

Damn, I saw an online article a while back where they used that same tray on an LT1..... I'll try to find it real quick.

edit: Here's the article, http://www.corvettefever.com/howto/36501/

Just make sure to check with the GM guys to see if that is really the one you need. This is just stuff I remember reading so take it as that.... no actual experience here. My pan has the tray built in.

Good luck.

The oem tray takes 3 studs. It's ok to cut off those you don't need. Sure beats not having enuf, right? Tray used will depend on the pan used.

studs

you dont need to cut em just put the studs where they are needed and the extra long ones where they are out of the way i think there is 5 i put one behind my oil pump and one infront of the tray they will clear the oil pan just fine

Like t*ts on a boar hog, if not needed, they are gone! Didn't state you had to, just that it is ok.
