Will These Heads Fit LT1?
Well it seems like everyone in the world wants more than a 190cc port on a 383 but Dwayne and who he pimps for. I guess the trend even in OEM's to get more port volume in there than they have is the wrong way to go. Must be that the guy who did all these ports for them recently is a dummy.... funny thing is that nobody can improve his ports to make more power just flow more and make less power.
dannyum89,
I'm guessing you have flat top pistons... WHICH IS GOOD.
Do you or don't you want to end up with ported heads? What in the end is the goal for your ride?
LT1's like compression, so you can go anywhere from here.

Im trying to get into the 400 range to the wheels. I would love ported heads but can't aford to lose my car for a few weeks even though it smokes like my grandmother. A few people told me to look at some used LT1 heads and just ship them to Lloyd. Maybe thats what ill do.
From what I gather stock LT1 heads have.
53cc combustion chambers
175cc Intake runners
68cc exaust runners
angle spark plug
When picking heads I need to try to keep combustion chambers about the same as the factory heads correct? Im still waiting on the CR numbers on the 383 short block with the factory heads. I do know that it has flat top pistons.
