Will a T-5 tremec work with the LT1?

Will a T-5 tremec work with the LT1?

My buddy has a rebuilt t5 that he will sell me for $300. WIll it work with a 97 engine in my 95? Thanks.

You can always make something work, you may have to find a custom input shaft or driveshaft I have never really looked into it...but a T5 on an LT1 is just asking to be broken. Remember the T5's are what they put in the V6 f Body's and what they put in the 305 3rd gens because the 350s would tear them up...you could put it in and you'll break it fairly quick...

Personally I think the T56 is stronger than a Tremec T-5.
