Also, ropping back down to 4100rpm isnt a bad thing with that fat torque curve! You'll be right in the meat of it!

You will be in 4th gear at 110-115 with a 3.42 and 26" tires. I have to kick mine up at about 100-102mph. At 155 you should be half way through 4th.

Your right about 100-102mph end of 3rd into the 4th shift, but he will be in 5th gear to get up to 155mph. With my 3.73's (obviously my rpms will be slightly higher) I was at 5000-5200rpm @ 140mph in 5th gear!

I wouldnt shift below 350rwhp, but even that is spinning way past peak. Peak looks to be at 5750rpm, so I would realy shift at 6k-6.1k!
Your are right if it actually dropped off like that, but i think that was someone lifting their foot or a revlimiter.

Your right, there is still a lot of power there, but if we are talking about optimizing shifts we need to look at the area under the curve of the HP graph. Example you have 317 footpounds at 2100 rpms, but yoru only making 126 HP. 126 HP= not the best acceleration. Ideally you want your HP the exact same before and after the shift because that will maximize the work done.

If there is something like weak valve springs holding back the power up there than i can agree with the 6200 shift. But if we are just talking about the physics of the cam for optimum power it's closer to a 6500 rpm shift.

That gear calculator is sweet. Thanx for setting me straight. I was worried before this post that the 224/230 may not make power where I wanted it to but now I'm feeling reassured.

Going sideways into 3rd=

Get that DYNO up Fastbird93!!!!!
