Will this setup work to connect to my computer?

It's a '95 Z28. Will the EZ Read 2000 with the Replacement GM Special OBD-II cable correctly hook up to the connector? If not, what do I need? Thanks.

Yes, it will work and comes with multiple cables, including the one you need. But unless you need to be able to pull codes from all different manufacturers of cars, why buy that one? It also is only a code reader and not a scanner. The reason it is so expensive is because it comes with all those cables and can do OBD-I and II.

I think I gave you a recommendation once before.

Yeah, I could've swore it was this one. Which one exactly do I need? I'm lost, man.

Depends on what you want to do. Do you want to only pull codes or be able to scan, too (better choice, IMO)?

To scan on a 1995:

and

What's the difference? I have the Haynes manual with all the trouble code definitions and all.

The difference is that a code reader only reads codes and nothing more. A scanner will allow you to look at engine sensor readings and diagnose trouble. IMO, I would not waste my money on just a code reader, but that is just me.

I guess I'll buy the GM OBD-I Scanner along with the REPLACEMENT GM SPECIAL OBD-II CABLE. I appreciate the help.
