will a set of vortec heads work on a lt1 set up
LTx is used to refer to the collective family of second generation smallblocks, the LT1, LT4 and the smaller displacement L99.
The Vortec heads are based on the iron LT1 heads used on the b-bodies. They have a standard coolant flow and different intake bolt pattern. You could theoretically make them work with a fair amount of machining BUT to do so would be completely pointless. Like I said, they are based on an LT1 head.
They are a great budget upgrade for gen 1 motors but not for an LT1.
