increase your oil pressure...

i did a spring swap and now my oil pressure is well past 80... it stays between 40 and 60 with normal driving but when i "get on it" the pressure goes well over 80...

i changed the oil and filter and i still have the problem...

i did notice metal shavings on the drain plug...(nothing large probably shavings from when my old stock rocker arm fell off)

i put a mechanical guage on it and it still reads high...

before the new seals my pressure would only go to 75-80...the only thing i can think of is that the new valve seals increased the pressure from what it was before...

is there a way to flush the oil system...

i guess i should ask... will this hurt my engine?

 

What weight oil are you using?

 

i was using 10w30 but then i switched to mobile 1, 5w20... the pressure came down a little at idle but had no affects at high rpm's...
