Will I be in the 12's ??? HP estimate ?
Will I be in the 12's ??? HP estimate ?
Building a new engine for my 95 Z28/M6 with the following parts:
030 over LT1, balanced internals that include stock crank stroke cast Eagle Crank, forged 10.5/1 JE pistons, Eagle SIR steel rods, King bearings, Melling high PRESSURE/std volume oil pump.
LT4 Hot cam kit
Mildly ported heads (gasket matched, bowls blended, thinned guides, surfaced, competition valve job w/backcut valves)
MAC mid-length headers w/off-road y-pipe flowing into 3" straight pipe to a 2-chamber Flowmaster
K&N FIPK
Home-brew tune using TunerCAT
52mm TB
TB coolant bypass
MSD coil/Super conductor wires
NGK TR55's
Redline 20w50 oil/AC filter
!Cat
100% STOCK suspension
I'd like to know if I will (or should depending on the driver) be into the 12's in the 1/4 with my combo. If not, what else do I need ?
Also, I'd like a guess to my FWHP and RWHP.

Re: Will I be in the 12's ??? HP estimate ?
Oh yeh, youll definitely hit 12s if you get some traction, and you should have over 330rwhp id say, getting some long tube headers would help, definitely rear gears if you dont have them, good luck and let us know how it goes!
Re: Will I be in the 12's ??? HP estimate ?
I currently have 3.42 rear gears; 4.10's are not an option for me as I drive 120mi+ round trip to work every day with this car !
I could go with 3.73's, but I have heard they are not worth the cost over the 3.42's as the gains would be minimal.
I can't go with a full long-tube header because I need the stock ground clearance (once again the 120+miles per weekday over typical lousy Michigan road condtions)

well if you have 3.42s it wont make that much of a noticible difference, just alittle in the times, lts arent that bad for clearance but whatever you want to do man--good luck just get some good tires/wheels
