Will ford motor sports injectors work in my lt1?

Just curious, I've heard of people using svo ford injectors. These are out of a mustang 5.0, are the connectors and everything the same? Also I believe ford flow rates their injectors for a lower fuel pressure, what will a 30lb ford injector flow at lt1 fuel pressure?

yes, they are what everyone refers to as SVO injectors
a 30# SVO at LT1 FP should be about 32#'s which is usually more then enuf for most NA applications, they are a good injector

stock injectors out of a 5.0 are 19#'s @ ~38psi? they are about the equivelent to stock 22# injectors @ 43.5psi found in the '93 cars

Not meaning to steal your thread or anything but I wanted to add onto this. Do you have to get the computer programmed when you sawp out the injector size? Anything else needed for the sawp. i know my mustang only needed injectors and a programmed Mass-Air meter for the injector size

It really depends on the size of the injector. ANything bigger than a 24 lb injector will need to have the computer reprogrammend.

If you make an injector swap to the same size rating on an SVO, or a larger aftermarket one, then YES get it tuned. You wouldn't believe how much a couple PSI rating difference makes.

When I had my bolt on car tuned, I noticed the injector constant as accidentally set to 24#. Stock 93's have 22#. No wonder I was barely getting 200 MPG on the highway.

Everyone on this board refers to the injectors as svo. Are these the exact same injectors that Summit refers to as Ford racing and the Ford dealers also refer to as Ford racing?

yep, SVO is Special Vehicle Operations, now known as SVT Special Vehicle Team, they are the same as the ones in Summit
you can find them cheaper here

Thanks, thats what I thought I just ordered them for $200. I watched used sets go for 150-177 and figured new with warranty is worth the xtra bucks.
