You can delete AIR and EGR. Neither of those will affect performance, since AIR only works for a couple minutes at startup, EGR never works at idle or at WOT. The only change from deleting EGR might be an increased tendancy to knock when lugging the engine at low RPM, since that's when the PCM activates the EGR system to cool down the combustion chamber temperatures.
AIR will not set a code in OBD-I as long as there is a good fuse in the electrical circuit. EGR can set a code for both low EGR flow and for the missing EGR solenoid (if you delete that too). In OBD-I the EGR flow code is failry rare, but it is possible, and you would need to have it programmed out of the PCM to aboid an SES light and a code.
Why do feel you need to delete these systems?
