Will bullet muffler remove the rasp??

I am running a ATR catback with no cat. I sounds great but is a little to loud at crusing speeds and raspy when you are really into it. I was thinking of removing the straight pipe and replacing it with the dynomax bullet muffler. Has anyone ever done ths and what was the result, I am hoping by doing this it will tone down the exhaust a bit (volume wise) and remove the rasp. Any input one this would be appreciated .

I had an off road pipe on my set up for a while and it was too loud and raspy so i looked into fixing it and most people said put a bullet muffler in place of the cat. I ended up just putting a stock cat. converter back on it. There was no SOTP loss. I would just put a stock cat, back on the car.

I do have a high flow cat that I could put on it, but I wasn't sure about the restriction and sound. It is definitly not as raspy with the cat on, just not sure if i like the sound.

The sound level reduction and quality increase (removing the rasp) of a bullet muffler ORP splits the difference between a high flow cat and an ORP, IMO. I have clips on my page of the bullet and the cat, but none of the crappy straight ORP(too lazy to put it back in just to make a clip and take it out again). When my motor was stock the bullet got rid of 100% of the rasp. You could definitly tell something was different other than just being louder, but it didn't have bad sounds mixed in. After my cam install a minor bit of unwanted noise returned, but it's still a lot better than the striaght ORP.

I am running ported heads and a hotcam and and SLP headers. I am really happy with the overall sound, especially full throttle. I want to tone it down just a bit so I don't attract to much attention from the police, but I don't want to reduce performance so that is why I thought of the bullet muffler. From what I am hearing is that the bullet muffler will remove the raspiness, but how much will it reduce the volume level? I want it a little quieter for longer road trips, the droning for 3 hours can be a little tiresome. Buy the way what size bullet did you use and were you able to find 3" diameter male compression flange. I need to find that in order to make it fit to the ATR.
