Will 00 LS1 heads bolt onto my 96 LT1?

Hi, found an LS1 engine being parted and it has stock heads. Was wondering if I could buy them and have them ported and such and if they would fit on my car. Thanks

no they will not work.

Exhaust ports are different, and the LT1 head is setup for reverse flow cooling

I dont even think they will bolt down

The only thing the gen II and gen III blocks have in common is bore spacing.

The only place those will fit in your car is the trunk.

I've never seen anyone make less than 728rwhp....maybe 675 if he's on a Mustang dyno. That, or you don't know what you're talking about.

Not true.

They'll fit on the passenger's seat too, as long as nobody else is there.

werd. I figured no just because of the reverse flow cooling.

LS1 heads are designed for a completely different deck height, different cooling system, different pistons, just about everything is different. It would be like bolting ford heads to your lt1.

With Ford heads you can get at least 800 RWHP.
