Wierd Cooling System Problem

I came home last night and there was probably 1/2 cup of antifreeze on the garage floor from the night before. I looked and there was maybe one drop coming out of the weep hole on the water pump. I put a newspaper on the floor and it didn't leak a drop last night. About 2 days ago I put in one of those GM radiator tablets that you are supposed to put in when you change antifreeze. I had forgotten to do it when I did the coolant a few months ago. Do you suppose the sealant conditioner caused a short term seal leak as it started to work? That's the only thing I can think of. This happened to any body else?

When water pumps start to go, they often leak just when they want to. So, it might not leak every time you drive the car.

Re: Wierd Cooling System Problem

For me I found that the coolant on a bad wp has always started to leak once the car was warmed up and the pressure in the cooling system builds. So starting hte car.. no leak.. driving it around for a tiny bit, usually no leak. But driving it for an hour, itll be dripping nicely. I would wait a little bit to see if it goes away, the coolant pellets may not fix it right away (1-2 weeks). NO clue if it cause it though :/ But cross your fingers that the pellets may fix it
