Why is it that some people need an O2 ext. and other don't?

I know the subject sounds stupid but I didn't know any other way to introduce the topic.

Why is it that some people with an 95Z need both extensions while others say they could get by with only extending the passanger 02?

Is there something different about these cars that no one is mentioning or what?

Thanks for any help/ideas.

Not exactly sure what the question is...

An O2 extension is primarily for people who have relocated their O2 sensors due to longtube headers, etc.

Ahh.

I guess it depends where you have the o2 sensors mounted.

Some people put them in the headers.
Some people put them in the y-pipe.

The interesting thing is that two people that I can think of off hand had the same headers and the same year car.

I can't figure out why one would need it and the other didn't.
Do the dual cat cars have the O2's in a different place?
That's the only thing that I could see would be different on a stock exhaust setup.

I only needed one for the passanger side also. The only thing i can think of is that when i put the motor back in, i ran the driver's side o2 wire in a different location. Don't know if it matters but i did a cam install on an auto the other week, and after putting his hookers back in, he needed 2 extesions also. maybe the auto and manual wiring harness is a little different.
