I'd definitely go with platinum or iridium unless you want to change your spark plugs every year.

I've used Champion copper plugs for years and still like them as much as anything else. Also tried the Denso iridium plugs with no discernable increase in power.
If you want maximum performance go with copper... if you want a plug that lasts a long time stick with platinum and/or iridium. I don't mind changing plugs more often but everyone has different time management issues.
