Why Msd Wires Are Crap!

Ok i want everyone to tell me their experience with the scamming MSD wires, seriously I think they are a scam MSD is running, here are my problems I've had in the past & see everyone else having so I couldn't resist but post!

They crack in a few weeks of driving
they loose their conductivity within a few days of driving sometimes
They can't handle high spark cuz with my LTCC I killed a set of small 2-3 inch MSD wires in 1 day
they crack & start to arc all over the place
they burn very easily
car just runs horrible even with a new set

tell me your stories, we should take this to MSD, I know a lot of stock guys don't notice their wires crapping out, but with a heavy setup & big cam its easy to notice when wires start to go.

I've run MSD wires on several vehicles I've owned. All with at least some bolt-ons. This list includes a 3.4L swap 86 Fiero, a 74 Chevy Truck with a mild 454 (tow rig), a 71 K5 Blazer with a built 383 that put out well over 400hp on the engine dyno (regularly off-roaded), a '69 383 Charger, and my Z, as well as a few friends rides. Other than a few burnt wires that fell on header primaries, and one 6AL box that mysteriously went dead (MSD replaced for free), I've never had a problem with any MSD ignition component. On the other hand, I tried a set of Taylor Spiro's once and within 2 months had two dry up and crack without even touching the header. Last set of those that I ever bought.

I guess it just comes down to luck?

I have been running MSD superconductors for a year, with no problems. They are also pretty close to my headers.

I've been using the 8.5mm MSD SuperConductor wires for almost three years with my 8 LS1 coil setup and killer ignition system. They have performed faultlessly. The system is an exact duplicate of what George Baxter (world's quickest LT1) used on his car for almost 5 years. The shop that built/tunes my engine (and George's) has a 6-second Pro 5.0 Mustang.... they use MSD wires. In fact, they use MSD every where.......

i got MSD after my Taylors went to the crapper and i can tell you right outta the box i could tell the MSDs were very high quality wires. i check my wires every so often at night and not a single one is arching or cracking.

are you sure those are the MSD 8.5 Superconductors

I've had 8.5 Superconducts and I will not use any other wires than MSD on a performance car.
