Wow thats weird, sorry but it must be something in the air around here, sorry they don't last, Taylors last forever here! I'm not joking when I say my MSD's suck, OMG I find it hard to belive they last longer than 1 month, you can even bend those wires out of the box, so easy to crack, & I'm talking MSD 8.5 super conductor wires.

Re: Why Msd Wires Are Crap!

[i] I know a lot of stock guys don't notice their wires crapping out, [/B]
This is exactly why I use stock wires. I've never heard of people having trouble with stockers that weren't long overdue for a change, and I've never had trouble with mine when replaced at reasonable intervals.

I use the 8.5mm MSD wires as well. No problems at all. I opted to use them because when I received the Taylor wires I wasn't impressed with them by any means. I tried doing the over-the-vavle cover but decided against it. Even with headers I have no problems with the MSD wires in the stock location. Some well placed zipties keep them away from the headers.

I've been running my 8.5's for over a year now with no problems. Hold them in plae with zip ties and you're good. I would use them again in a second.

I've never had any problems with my superconductors either. They've been a great wire.

Maybe you just have bad luck

my experience with wires is that the accell extreme 9000's are very good. never arced or cracked,

now the taylors I have had were arcing after 2 days of using them they just sucked.

i am about to try the msd's over the valve cover.
