Why does an LT1 go Snap, gargle, Pop on decellaration?
Why does an LT1 go Snap, gargle, Pop on decellaration?
My LT1 intermittently goes snap, gargle and pop when decelerating, usually at RPM's over 3K.
It can be very annoying at times and I would like to address the problem if its an easy fix.
Why do these engines do this, is it a mixture issue or maybe timing.
See sig for engine specs.
Also I am running without a catalytic converter and I have the smallest opening plate in my Borla catback which I know exacerbates the problem. However this still happens with closed Borla and a running a cat.
Thanks
