Who's running a Victor Jr. or similar intake?
Re: Who's running a Victor Jr. or similar intake?
T/A: The elbow on that particular intake was milled 3/4". "Z8" or Chris Sikora did the conversion. Somewhere around 800 or so including the rails, elbow, and porting after the elbow was milled, IIRC. No holes were redrilled as the intake was "built" for a set of SBC heads.

Thanks Brett I have a machinists who is a good friend that will do the milling. The height is not going to be a problem with my 4inch Ram Air hood setup. I may run a NX plate under the elbow on my 2 stage kit. I was just wondering if the Victor E will make more torque than the LT1 setup and it's short runners. I am just shooting for enough power to run 10's on engine and 9's on a 200shot and radials. Later Thanks Clint
Re: Who's running a Victor Jr. or similar intake?
I saw some pics over on the Corvetteforum a while back, the guy took a L98 motor and converted it to a carb style manifold. He built a "box" onto to flange with four long bolts down through it to bolt it to the carb flange and the front of it was made to fit a L98 style throttlebody, was pretty cool looking...I saw it on a thread where the whole board was in a pissing match about injector sizing..this guy said he ran low 10's on this setup all motor with 30 lb injectors on a 383(if you wanted to search it) car was like a 90 model Vette.

Yeah, I have some pics of that setup and plan on using something similar but a smaller version with the Victor E manifold. I am also thinking about going with the Accel SBC intake that also has the bungs welded on it. Later Clint

Yea that is pretty sweet!! the last pic doesnt seem to be working.
How well does that compare to the Super Vic. In terms of flowing.
And what does one of those co$t???

The stock lines are untouched. I just used some fuel line fittings from an old FMU that I had along with some adapter fittings to feed the fuel rail.
Re: Who's running a Victor Jr. or similar intake?
That LOOKs good, but how much different is that than an lt1 intake. I thought the point of these other intakes was the runner length. That one looks to maybe have more plenum volume, but what about the runners. I know wilson and hogans build nice stuff, but I THINK by just looking at that one, that a super victor covnersion (for less than a thousand )would probably make more power on most of the combinations people here are running, and maybe even have better driveablilty and more torque, for perhaps thousands less. I'm no expert, but I am just going by what I can see. It does look go though.

Rpm280,
They did that intake to get the runner length long enough AND have the intake look like a LT intake. It's not a cost effective way to go for sure.... but it should work well.

The intake will outflow one of Wilson's own Super Victor's and the port's are all the same length...
Yea Bret ya are pretty close with the cost. But like I said I can't afford the CFM loss of any other manifold.Even most sheet metal's have a 10% loss. This one is way less than that.
