i have a 94 z28 and its stock and my friend has a subaru wrx turbo who says he can beat my camaro and he said he wants to race me but i wanna know what would be the outcome cause both cars are stock...but his is turbo

also i know the answer to this one but for some reason my friend says he would beat me with his 3.4 L camaro for some reason he has it stuck in his head it will win but ive drove it and it was hard to get it to go past 80

but let me know about the subaru i hear they are fast

 

To tell you the truth, i'd win. That's a tuff one, i'd say you and the WRX will pull pretty even and just forget about the v6. I also have a feeling this thread will get moved.

 

it'll probably be a little faster those have 300 hp and 300 torque and them having awd it will jet out in front of u and it'll probably keep its lead

u might be able to come back after a certain mph range like 110 or 120, just because our cars are geared pretty well... but i mean his is turbo charged... if urs was supercharged... it would be no competion...

 

i think you will win, im sure he'll get you on the launch if you go from a stop, but after 60 you should start pulling

the STI has 300hp/300tq not the standard wrx

 

whoever crosses the finishline first wins the race.

regular wrx has 227 hp, sti has 300 and there aren't too many of them around. The longer the distance the better for you. If he knows how to launch he could rape you off the line. i've seen 3 different wrxs run at the track. low 15s is all i saw with a 14.8 the one time i think. Those guys probably weren't launching them as hard as possible though and weren't great drivers. So they're no joke....... now go race him and tell us what happens.

I ran a best of 14.646 with my 94 z28 vert a4 2.73 gears. I regularly go to the track with my friend that has a 2002 wrx (227hp). So far he ran a best of 14.6x also, though most of his runs are around 15 flat. (He'll only beat me if my reaction is a few tenths worse.) My mods are in my sig, and he only has catback exhaust. At the track, he'll usually jump ahead by about half a car length, and we're staying even through the first 1/8. But by the end of the 1/4 I'll pass him, finishing 3-4 mph faster at that point. You should win...especially if you're not a vert 2.73 like me!

 

my prediction: he will take you off the line and you should catch him by the 1/8 and take him by a car at the 1/4.
so they are nothing to laugh at stock vs. stock if you have a bad launch or cant drive you get by an import. if he cant drive you smoke him.
