Trey, I must say, you are the only guy I know who has $33,000+ per year built into your budget for frivolous fun stuff (or just the car!) while going to college. You obviously aren't working at the corner Jiffy mart to make ends meet like many college students do
Heck, for that matter, I don't know of many people who have that much in there budget for spending money even after getting out of college and landing a good job. Why bother with college if you can afford to blow $46,000 in 18 months while going to college???

Because I was raised to be better than average!
also-
I refuse to be some 25 yr old living at home with a car that was cool 10 years ago and a white trash girlfriend that wears too much makeup and tight clothes even though she is 20lbs overwieght. I want my own place, to pay my own insurance, wife, kids and my own sence of accomplishment yada yada. You get the gig
I must say this though-
My dad did give $300 towards the nitrous (which i put towards fuel and traded stuff for a nitrous system) and my mom did pay for the new tires twice (once when i bought the car, and once when i finished the motor- both times i was broke
)
I was a sales rep for a skateboard/surf/snowboard company (actually a sub rep for the bigshot of NY/NJ)
He would always let me sell his $450 snowboards that he bought as demo/sample boards. He would give them to me for like $!50 and i'd sell them for $300 easily!
$150 bindings, he gave me for $25, i sold for $100
Arnette sunglass/goggles. buy for $10, sell for $40.
Plus i got my own snowboards free ( I have $1500 worth of snowboards in my dorm) and all my clothing free too!
On top of it i made $11.50 h/r + 6% comission.

I also worked at a drug store for a while.
I had saved up enough money to buy the car outright from my paper route before i was 17
I am proud to say I NEVER sold drugs or did anything illegal for the money. I never willingly bought stolen stuff either (the only things i didn't buy from a shop were the pistons and rods, both from reputable people )
i still cant believe i spend $50,000
I still cant believe how much money i blew in highschool. I was seriously living it up. Eating at the deli everyday, **** i was buying my friends lunches (and still do from time to time). I just threw 2 days worth of partys at home this x-mas that cost me $80 in beer, i paid for beer for my friends. I drove all over (big gas $), went out atleast 3-4x a week- going to diners, movies, partys ect. I took like 5 or 6 snowboard trips (4 hrs away, $50 lift tickets, food ect), went to concerts
I was pretty wasteful at times too. I lost a $200 calculator, cell phones, ect.
Christ- I was living it up
You never know how great you have it, till its gone. Good thing I wasn't satisfied though- or else I wouldn't have gone to college
