Who has adapted an LS1 T56 to fit an LT1?

The TR-3550/TKO's are rated at 400-500ft/lbs, the T56... I know a guy running it behind a 600+ft. lb 502 GTO, he has had no problems with it at the track and on the road courses. I don't know how your standard GM spec T56 holds up to that... provided you don't hook up.

here is a little info,if you buy a brand new t-56 from a gm dealership what you get will be tremec.the tremec are a lot strong than borg-warner for the info i have done.

tremec in the mid 90s bought the t-56 tranny from borg-warner.i think that all 97 up z and ss have tremecs.

also tremec makes all replacement trannys for gm.what i was told is the camaro tranny is the same as the viper.
