Question Who is Happy with the 1LE or Slp level 2 swaybars?

Are you happy with your upgrade to the 1LE or SLP Level 2 sway bars? Do they help the car a bit ?

Please dont tell me to buy something else or that I should have, I bought the 1LE's because thats what I can afford for now... Can always upgrade some other time if I dont like them....

I like the 1LE's. But if you already have 'em, I guess you will just have to try them for yourself.

I have them, and I think they work great. I also got the poly bushings to go along with my sway bars. Great investment and a cheap one at that.

Ditto also I have the 32mm/21mm set up but changed the rear to a 23mm from a 3rd gen. with DMS coils its handles tight. I also hook up pretty good with my DR's.

I suggest you post in the autocross/RR section of this board. Sam Strano is an expert in 4th Gen handling and can point you in the right direction.

Sounds like you're trying to get a "warm and fuzzy" about what you've already bought.

It's all a relative thing. Generally on an F-Body, the larger (especially the front) you go on bars, the better the car handles due to decreased body roll and better camber control. So any move up from stock is going to feel better. If the 32mm 1LE bar is the largest you've tried, you'll like it. If you tried the 35mm ST bar, you'd like it even more.

As you go up in front bar size, you'll notice reduced body roll and much quicker steering response.

If you read in the autocross/road race forum here you'll probably see most of us recommend the 19mm-21mm rear bar sizes. ST sells a 25mm which everyone considers too large for autocross/road race use. A 23mm would be marginal IMHO. I use a 21mm (actually it's suppose to be a 21.5mm LG Motorsports) for my rear bar simply because I like more neutral handling in corners. Anything larger makes it difficult getting the power down when exiting corners. On the street this is probably less important.

Try what you bought for a little while. You already have those so get use to what they feel like. I think we recommended the 35mm to you once before.... If you don't want to keep changing things, you can't try to get by cheap. Pay a little more and do it right once. You've asked about shocks in another post and I've said the same thing there. ESPECIALLY with the shocks. They are not easy to change and you don't want to have to do it again for a while. Luckily the sway bars are easy to change and you can sell yours.
