white stuff :(

Ok heres the deal... started smelling oil while driving it so i investigated...there was oil spewed everywhere and the dipstick was pushed up. well i investigated further and the passenger side pvc tube or whatever let out a puff of air when i disconnected it and then white gassy smelling liquid started coming out. I then checked the driver side and it wasnt like that.. i then pulled the TB cover off and the same thin white gassy liquid is in there.... kinda looks like french vanilla cappachino heh....

any idea?

Re: white stuff :(

Sounds like one of two possibilities.... one maybe "cheap", one definitely a bit more "expensive".

1 - PCV valve it plugged up, and the system is not evacuating the crankcase. Blowby, including the water product of combustion is building up, and for some reason not venting backwards through the line from the passenger valve cover to the throttle body. Check the PCV valve. Excessive blowby on the rings may be making the problem worse, and that will convert a "cheap" fix to an "expensive" one, if that's the problem.

2 - You've blown a head gasket and have water in the oil. The "capucino" is the oil/water mixture building up.

Then there's a good chance its "blowby".... the water vapor in the combustion products that squeeze past the rings is condensing on the colder engine parts. Again, check the PCV valve. If its OK (rattles when you shake it, no white gunk plugging it up), take the oil fill cap off and listen/feel for a "chuffing" sound from the blowby.

Re: white stuff :(

there should be some suction...that's the positive crankcase ventilation at work

Anyone think it could be an intake gasket?
