yeah those are cool and the ones ive seen on ebay lately, but they are more traditional looking and the entire face glows as compared to just backlit numbers. it's just personal preference

Would the indiglos that mortal z28 got work on a 93? Does anyone know?

I wasnt sure if the 93 Z28's gauge cluster was a little different from 94+

these ran about $60 with chrome bezel on ebay and were pretty easy to install other than the fact that the dash is a pain to take apart.

Which brand are yours? I called SR motorsports and they said they are not making the reverse style anymore (93-97Z28) because they were so cheap on ebay. I went to ebay and they didnt really have **** for those years.

to install mine i took the lower dash plastic off under the steering column as well as the piece that covers the stereo face. then i took off the roof support plastics because i wanted to pull the entire top dash cover off (its just velcroed) and that allowed me to get to all screws/bolts holding the gauges in place. it's really self explanitory as you go.. just keep track of your hardware. the only other thing is getting the faces lined up the way they should be.. then a power and ground.. takes a while but most of the work is taking apart the dash and putting it back together.. just have a socket set with a small extennsion and a phillips

I heard if you dont get it quite right; all your instruments will be off. Speed, RPM etc.

What about the Pontiacs? I've seen application guides that list the same part# for 97 and up while others only list the Camaro.
The clusterslooks the same but I suspect the fonts for the numbers may be different.
Does anyone know?

nemesis that's correct, but the faces are setup to where there are several clear areas where lights show through (turn signals, seatbelt, air bag etc...) if all of these are lined up and straight then you're sure that the gauges have been aligned properly. i've always kinda drove my car by feel as far as knowing where it shifts and how it sounds.. it's still at the same speeds as before and if i go with the flow it's dead on so i'd say accuracy is great as long as you line up the clear windows with the stock gauge lights.

If you want a lot of gauge selections just go to ebay and type in camaro gauges. or take this link http://search.ebaymotors.com/search/...ch=&category0=
You can get gauges for $29 just like the thread starter and I have. Here is mine
http://www.cardomain.com/id/tlh123

I paid $60 about 10 months ago and though that was a deal.

mortalz, very nice pics. The fonts do look different, but I think the chrome bezel looks like it would wake up the stock gauge face.

Now I wonder how difficult it would be to install a camaro gauge cluster in a firebird. They look the same except for the fonts. Then I could get the whole overlay and bezel set up.
On the digital odometers, where is the value stored, the PCM or dash?
