I've only done a set on my '91 before, it wasn't too hard

If you have guage-overlays, (mine) had unnoticeable cuts that you use to slip the overlays around the needles w/o removing them. NOTE: mark or remember the position of the needles that do not reset w/ engine ON/OFF b/c you may bump them out of position when you're slipping on the overlays.

When I did mine the gauge overlay came with a little tool to pry the needles off with. Definately keep track of where your needles are like stated above. I used my digital camera and took some really close pictures of the gauges before I took the needles off.

Good luck

If you get McEwen gauges, then you just slide them down over the needles, no removing and nothing. Plus, if im not mistaken, the firebirds have the same kind of gauge cluster that the 97+ camaros have, so that makes it even easier.

so what's the best white face guage insert out there? I'm looking for something that doesn't look hella ghetto and cheap, I got these C2 guages and I need something to match. I've seen BBK and NR automotive but I wanna hear from you guys first...thanks..

I think the MacEwen guages look best.

Some people who want "reverse-indiglo" lighting get the EBAY gauges then put a '97+ TransAm cluster bezel over that. Finished product looks real good

Yeah! I just checked out the MacEwen site after searching and searching on here...and the guages look hella dope...I just ordered a white face gauge, white shifter face and some blue bulbs for the instrument gauges so it can illuminate and match my C2 guages...

I have some from ebay. They look good but dont line up exactly. Every other make of car with ebay ones line up but just not f-bodies. Someone needs to make a real good quality indiglo gauge overlay. Its really easy to install. Pop the needles off with a fork and stick the overlay on.
