Whistling sound when I start up my car????
Thanks for all the info.
I'll check it out on monday.
It does die off after the engine gets warm.
Is this an expensive fix?
It's not hurting my performance any but it's kinda embarrassing driving around whistling.
Thanks again.

It shouldnt even be noticable in the day unless your listening for it. Unless your in your garage or a quiet area. If its REALLY loud then maybe the air pump is going out or something else is wrong. Just how loud is it????
Find a quiet spot you can park and let the car cool down, open the hood and start it, listen to the whistling and wait for it to stop (dont rev up the engine or anything just let it idle). If after a few minutes the sound suddenly starts getting quieter and dissapears in about 2-3 secinds after you hear it getting quieter its pretty much deffinatly the air pump. It is normal (unless its REALLY loud). Let us know what happens.
