During WOT in my 95 T/A at about 4000 RPM a very loud whistling sound comes from my engine. It happens in most gears im not sure what to even start to look for. Any ideas of what it is or what i need to do to fix it?

 

My alternator pully wines at high RPMs, maybe yours does too?

I can check that out but its a really load high pitched whistle so it could be

 

The SLP cold air intake is known for "ampifying" the engine's normal induction noises... I have one and can attest to that.

Perhaps you've got a vacuum leak. Check all the connections on the intake elbow, throttle body, MAF, etc.
