I'm new to my new 97 SS and it's a completly different world compared to my old 91 RS and everything is relocated. So i'd appreciated some help to some "What is this?" and "Where is that?" questions. Also i know you guys love being tested with these questions.

and what is this thing?... the little black box with the green connector right in the center of the pic.

black box with green connector is the MAP sensor, the optispark is directly under your water pump which is right on the front of your motor, The coil and ICM (ignition control module) is right on front of driver side head. Fuel pump is in the tank, fuel filter is rear of car right in front of rear tires on driver side, PCM is directly under windshield on passenger side. not sure about fan switch.

PCM - passenger side firewall, behind the fender liner - Shoebox

radiator fan switch - controlled by the PCM, reading data from the coolant temp sensor in the water pump housing.

Appears the MAP sensor connector is broken and someone has tied it up to try and hold it together.

That's a ghetto rigged MAP sensor to be specific..

Also I'm the guy who broke the MAP sensor clip, but a quick neon green ziptie took care of it.

I want to get a MADZ28 tune because I've heard good things and relized I couldnt even find the PCM! I'll probably go with the option number 1 on the webpage. any advise?

also this high rpm studder im getting might be from my ICM but they're $99 for the borgwarner ICM from pepboys !!
