Where are these parts?
Where are these parts?
Where is the IAC, TPS and EGR located?? I was told to check these and dont even know what they are well thanks for the help and how much does the tps cost?
Knowing where they are won't necessarity help you "check" them.... ususally, you need a scanner to determine if the IAC (Idle Air Control) motor is functioning properly. If it is not responding correctly to instructions from the PCM, it may need to be cleaned. It is on the plate that is bolted to the bottom of the throttle body. Other than cleaning it, and checking the position of the pintle, there isn't a lot you can do to/with it.
TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) is on the passenger side of the throttle body, and can be checked with a voltmeter, but is easier to check with a scanner. It is not adjustable, althoug there are ways to make it adjustable. But if the readings at closed throttle and WOT are within specs, and the voltage increases smoothly as you open the throttle, there's not much you can do with it.
EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve is located on the back of the intake manifold, and can not be checked with a scanner or a VOM. Depending on what your symptoms are, you may be able to check it by forcing it open at idle, to see if it correctly causes your engine to stumble.
Maybe the best thing to do would be to explain what your symptoms are, so people could point you in the correct direction.
