Where to get new intake bolts???

I got a head bolt kit from Jason Cromer but he said he didn't carry intake bolts or even a kit. Where did you get your new intake bolts from and how much?

I haven't checked, but I would think that ARP has a kit for the LT1 engine. Call Summit Racing's 800 number.

I just checked and MORE Peformance MORE has a bolt kit for LT1s. GO to site look under Catalog and then under Engine Components

Thanx again....70 bucks for intake bolts is a little costly IMO. I guess it would be nice to have all new fasteners but ouch...do LT1's use the same intake bolts as the standard SBC?

Why not reuse the old ones.....they dont have alot of torque on them so reusing them is not a problem.

Isn't the torque specs on stock intake bolts 71ft/lbs on the first pass and 35 or something like that on the 2nd....that's more than the head bolts!

No way. Alum intakes on alum heads. Without looking for the spec, must be in the range of 25-35ftlbs of TQ. You may be thinking in Inches or something. The TQ pattern is as most, from the middle of the intake maifold to the ends, alternating back and forth.

Try 71 inch-lbs. on the first pass. That's about 6 ft-lbs.

The final pass is 35 ft-lbs....head bolts are 65 ft-lbs final pass. Spend the money if you want too but its ok to reuse the intake bolts.
