Used 1LE in the Forsale section. There was a LPE one in there for a while, do a search for it. I like LPE alot check their website. Great price for a 3.5" one.

Bud, for vibration issues and a future 350 to the wheels (A4), do you think the LPE for $300 or 1LE used for $150 is a better move?

I would look in the for sale section for either a used 1LE or LS1 driveshaft.

I bought a 1LE new from Jason Cromer for around $230 shipped. LS1 driveshafts are pretty easy to pick up cheap in the FS section, they usually go for $100-$150 but they really arent all that strong. They are fine for the street but If you do much hard drag racing I wouldnt run one, I've seen quite a few break. I had one for a while and sold it to get the 1LE, sold it for $150.

Thanks for the reply's. I found one at a local junk yard for 150. I might pick that up. Save the hassal of shipping and everything. I wish having that much power would be an issue but i don't think it will be

I bought the LPE just because its not that much more expensive than a new GM shaft and LPE has a reputation for quality. If either is stronger I would guess the LPE might be because it is larger diameter but I don't really know. In either case I suspect if you are able to hurt the driveshaft you'll be breaking gears first.
Vibration should not be an issue with either driveshaft if they are properly balanced.
The only consideration with the LPE is clearance to the exhaust, since its so big. I have only about 1/2 inch between my ds and my 3" exhaust. Also you would probably have a hard time finding a driveshaft loop to fit a 3 1/2" ds.

Go steel, it's stronger.

I installed one of these about 6 months ago. No more vibes, no worries about twisting it up, and it was only $227 shipped.

Why would he need a carbon fiber driveshaft? They are extremely overpriced. For the price of a carbon fiber driveshaft he can get two good steel driveshafts.
